About Us In addition to running conferences and training days, and publishing information on our website IPS has an OnLine book shop at

If you have any suggestions or comments please e-mail us at

Making A Purchase Booking a course could not be easier. Just browse the training day / course Catalogue, and click on the courses you wish to attend, and add to the shopping cart. After you have finished your selections, click on “Order” and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to supply your requests. Discounts are applicable for delegates booking on more than one course in the academic year. This discount will be applied by IPS on final invoices, but is currently not available OnLine.

All prices are in UK £ Sterling. Payment may be made by credit card or sterling cheque or bank draft. We will, on your instructions, bill your instititution.

If you charge your credit card account from overseas, your credit card company will convert the transaction to either US Dollars or your own local currency.

We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit cards, and your account will be charged 4 weeks before conference dates. Charges on your account will be listed as purchases from IPS.

Credit card details on this site are securely encrypted and safe. You may, if you prefer, submit your credit card information separately via e-mail, telephone, fax or normal mail.

Shipping And Handling Conference joining instructions and programme are sent as soon as they are available via normal mail. Let us know if you require confirmation by fax or e-mail.

Delivery Schedule We normally process your order, assuming places are available on your chosen course, within 48 hours. In the 7 days leading up to any conference this process can be slower, and we apologise in advance.

Cancellation of Bookings Cancellations will be accepted until 10 days prior to the course, subject to a 50% cancellation fee, both on pre-paid and invoiced course fees. After this date we will be unable to refund course fees, either paid or due, but substitutions of delegates will be accepted on condition that IPS receives full written notice of cancellation and new delegates’ names before the course date – this must be in writing via letter, e-mail or fax.

Tax Charges IPS is based in the UK, and therefore subject to VAT regulations. VAT is a 17.5% tax applicable to training and course purchases which are sold in the EEC. There is normally an exemption to VAT for EEC customers (although not in the UK) who supply us with their EEC VAT Registration Number when ordering. Please note that no VAT is applicable on our courses and conferences held overseas (i.e. Ireland and Switzerland).

Credit Card Security We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our billing system over the Internet. All credit card details are processed using high security 128 bit encryption software. This information is only decrypted after reaching our computer system. Your details are not held in clear text on any web site. You may, if you prefer, e-mail, fax or telephone us your credit card details.
