Teaching dyslexic students in multilingual settings

International School of Geneva – Monday, 21 May, 2001

This specialist study day will focus on the needs of dyslexic students in multilingual schools. Such students may or may not have been recognised as dyslexic. Some students may be multilingual by virtue of their home background, while some may be monolingual but are currently in a multilingual educational setting (such as an international school). These students have different learning needs and present different support problems for teachers.

As well as lectures and discussions, the day will involve practical work examining methods and materials for assessment and teaching, as well as case studies.

This day is part of the ECIS Schools Special Needs Weekend at the International School of Geneva, from 18-21 May, 2001.
