George Robinson
George Robinson’s previous wide experience includes primary education, an SLD school, 8 years with a disruptive unit, and then 6 years as head teacher of an EBD school. After 1988 he was Senior Lecturer in the Special Needs department and then Director of Studies for 5 years at the University of the West of England (formally Bristol Polytechnic), responsible for the in-service programme; further experience included running the University Community Action Centre. Working closely with Barbara Maines, he developed a preventive programme dealing with bullying – initially Stamp out Bullying and then the No Blame Approach. These are widely used and respected interventions, with related training materials and videos which are marketed by Lucky Duck, the publishing company he founded with Barbara Maines.
